In 2014, she returned to her beloved island, St. Croix, where inspiration and beauty abound, the perfect location to launch her textile design business, Debbie Sun Design Studio. She now has a studio right around the corner from Company House Hotel in downtown Christiansted with a showroom, workspace and soon to be offered, silk painting workshops.
About In Good Company:
The history of 2 Company Street, now Company House Hotel, has shown us that this property had been a business incubator as early as 1800s. Visiting professionals would stay here and advertise their services in the Avis, from dentists to piano tuners to early photographers.
Later, the building was owned by the St. Croix Labor Union and housed the island’s first free newspaper. They were instrumental in making working conditions more equal for all residents of St. Croix.
The “In Good Company” series continues the tradition of empowering and celebrating entrepreneurs, leaders, business owners, and the community.Back To Blog
