Join us for our next In Good Company, a monthly social hour celebrating entrepreneurial local leaders held on the last Tuesday each month.
About Out Guest:
Khnuma is the Executive Director of the VI Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Council – a territorial agency that works towards ending family violence through prevention education programs. She founded both My Girlfriend’s Closet STX, an art and fashion boutique featuring designs by and for women, and SoKh Caribbean Dance Fitness – both innovative initiatives that marry fashion, dance and creativity for the purpose of empowering women! She also holds a Masters in Education, is a current PhD student and is a mother of two!
Join the conversation on June 25 at 7pm at Company House Hotel and learn how Khnuma juggles all the projects, how her shop in Christiansted complements the programs of the V.I. Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Council, and how you can participate in building a healthy community.
In Good Company is a series of conversations featuring local business leaders. These conversational meet-ups allow business owners to share their tips and ideas to guests, community members, and entrepreneurs. “In Good Company” meet-ups will feature local entrepreneurs and business owners.
About In Good Company:
The history of 2 Company Street, now Company House Hotel, has shown us that this property had been a business incubator as early as 1800s. Visiting professionals would stay here and advertise their services in the Avis, from dentists to piano tuners to early photographers.
Later on, this building was owned by the St. Croix Labor Union and housed the island’s first free newspaper. They were instrumental in making working conditions more equal for the black underclass of St. Croix.
This series is our way of continuing the tradition of empowering entrepreneurs and business owners and bringing them together in such a historic setting.Back To Blog
